The Pre-K students will be working in programs throughout the year that will assist them in recognizing colors, shapes, letters and their sounds; as well as improve hand/eye coordination.
Pre-K comes to computer once a week as part of their Enrichment.
Kindergarten
Kindergarten will be working with several programs that will help the children master spelling small words, do basic math problems and assist with patterns and sequencing.
Kindergarten comes to computer twice a week.
1st Grade
The 1st graders are working in Reading Mansion. This program assists the students with deciphering beginning and ending letter sounds; recognizing vowels and consonants; and building vocabulary.
1st grade comes to computer once a week.
2nd Grade
The 2nd Graders are working with the Math Blaster software program. This program assists the students with mastering basic math facts; improves on addition and subtraction skills; and improves critical thinking skills.
2nd grade comes to computer once a week.
4th Grade
4th Grade will be focusing on typing skills; gaining speed and accuracy. They will also work in Mircrosoft Word; learning the use of some of the basic tools.
3rd Grade
3rd grade is working in the Mavis Beacon Typing software program. We are focusing on the "home row" keys and proper hand positioning on the keyboard.
3rd & 4th grade come to the computer lab for one-week rotations as part of their Enrichment.
