Monday, May 10th is Field Day - the children are allowed to free dress: shirt and shorts (appropriate length), any color. (Kdg. does field day differently and we do not need specific colors.) Thanks!

Language Arts
We had four beautiful butterflies!! Thanks for sending in flowers for them - we added sugar water and the butterflies did great! We released them into the St. Jude Courtyard on Thursday -it was wonderful seeing them fly away!

Thanks to all of you for sending flowers to honor Mary. The class did a wonderful job presenting the beautiful flowers to Mary. Don't worry, if you forgot to send some, we had plenty and the children were kind and shared!
News of Interest
* Kdg. Field day - Field day and End of the Year Party is on Monday, May 10th.
Thanks to all of you who are donating items or who are helping with the special activities. The children will have field day first in the gym, then have a special story teller from the library on the deck, have pizza for lunch, play a little bit on the playground, and then have ice cream sundaes!! The Kindergarten children can wear free dress: shirts and shorts (appropriate length) - it can be any color.
* Kindergarten Closing Program - The closing program is on Wednesday at 9:00 am in the SJS Parish Hall. Please send your child to school in his/her dress uniform: blouses/jumpers for girls, long pants/belts for boys. Your child will NOT need a booksack on this day. All classroom materials will be sent home on Monday and Tuesday. The children will leave the parish hall after the program with you - they will not return to the classroom.
* A Special THANKS - Mrs. Killett and I would like to thank all of you who donated items for our daily breakfast in the lounge for Teacher's Appreciation - it was delicious and very nice!
* We would also like to offer a special thanks to Erin Douglass and Sally Harris - they have worked many hours being the room moms and we are very grateful for all their time and work. It would not have been such a great year without their hard work regarding parties, field trips, field day, and End of the Year party! THANKS Erin and Sally!!!
* Mrs. Killett and I would like to thank all of you for such a wonderful school year. This class has been wonderful and so much fun! The children have great personalities and it was a GREAT school year! Thanks again for all the support this year!
* First Grade Supply Fee - A couple of children have not yet paid the mandatory $6.50 for next school year. It is now past due, please send it in asap.
* Innisbrook School Supplies for First Grade - We want the parents to know that we are using a NEW company to purchase our school supplies through Home and School. The quality is much better.
*Extra Clothes - Please make sure your child has an extra set of clothes in his/her booksack.
* Star of the Week: We are finished with our Star of the Week - thanks to all of you for helping your child prepare for his/her special week..
* Curious George will get a good bath for the summer! Thanks for all your help this school year writing in the Curious George Journal.
