Dear Future First Grade Families,
Welcome to our First Grade website! This website is home to all of our classroom information, news, and student projects for 1A. Please visit often!
The first day of school, August 11th, is just around the corner! If you are wondering what you might be doing to help your child's transition to First Grade, here are a few tips: 1) review letters and their sounds with games like bingo, puzzles, or I Spy; 2) review the proper formation of letters with fun activities like writing them in shaving cream or using sidewalk chalk; 3)review correct spelling of your child's first and last name with activities like using magnetic letters on the fridge; 4) read to your child as often as you can; and 5) practice tying shoelaces. Please keep any review light and fun!
